In the midst of Earth’s ‘sixth extinction’ it seemed appropriate to get to grips with how we have entered this age of the Anthropocene, with the ecological soon declining past the point-of-no-return. Furthermore, how Climate change struggles to enter into visuality, as author T.J.Demos describes it as a series of "long emergencies of slow violence".
I have chosen document the River Trent as an ecosystem vulnerable to outside influence, and made a project that attempts to visualise this. This project contains images, illustrations and diagrams of the River Trent that combine photographic and scientific strategies to create a document of this ecosystem.
